Our Board

The Board of the Legal Complaints Service was created in January 2006 following the separation of the representative, regulatory and complaints handling functions of the Law Society.

The Board has 14 members (seven non-solicitors and seven solicitors) including the chair, Professor Shamit Saggar. The Board, as a whole, meets every six weeks. In addition, committee and working group meetings are held around

• liaison
• industrial diseases committee

The Board is committed to providing an independent, responsive, quality Legal Complaints Service.
